Reporting to the CTO, the successful candidate will join a team of talented, passionate individuals to contribute in the technical design, development and other tasks required to ensure the successful delivery of sprint projects. The candidate will also work in collaboration with the tech leads to take part in the evolution of the methods and best practices of development teams. Remote candidates will be considered.
Job Description
- Understand the current tech infrastructure, understand its qualities and vulnerabilities in order to propose improvements
- Participate in the analysis, technical design, development and other tasks as needed to ensure the delivery of sprint projects.
- Participate in the development of common components (frameworks, models).
- Provide on-call support as necessary
- Independently design solutions and solve technical issues.
- Participate in the evolution of the methods and teams development best practices.
- Support peers to improve performance.
- Work in a cloud computing environment; understand the philosophy and methodology of cloud computing; understand Azure or / and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Knowledge and experience with DevOPS, CI/CD pipelines and tools such as JIRA, Github, etc
- Build test environments on demand
- Active participation in project deliverables.
- Ensure alignment with solution architecture and coding standards.
- Lead and Work with the team members in implementing solutions.
- Participate in the code reviews and documentation
The ideal candidate (required):
- Relevant work experience in technology experience
- Python or PHP (5+ years)
- MySQL (5+ years)
- JavaScript (5+ years)
- Some front end scripts (HTML, CSS)
- API (REST) and SaaS usage and development. (2+ years)
- LAMP fullstack development (APACHE / NGINX)
- Enjoys sharing new ideas and learning from others.
- Is versatile, resourceful and recognized for his or her proactive approach in proposing the right solutions to address challenges.
- Efficiently analyzes technical issues, identifies their source, takes action and communicates the resolution plans.
Nice to have:
- Has demonstrated experience in the development of cloud computing application software (an asset)
- Has demonstrated experience using AWS / Azure tools and services in connection with application software development. (an asset)
- Is bilingual. (an asset)
