The whole tour was very well arranged. Was very helpful/prompt in answering the questions before the trip. Had to add 2 extra days to my trip (to arrive early and spend 2 days on our own) - the extra days of hotel and airport transfer was handled very smoothly. The tour itinerary was very well arranged and communicated. I am pretty sure that we couldn't have covered so much on our own. The Tour guide (Clara of Carrani Tours) was very energetic, professional and helpful. The bus driver (Gigi) took us around smoothly and safely around and was very helpful during loading/unloading stages during each city stop. Also, had a good fortune of having very friendly group - gave us opportunity to get to know people from all over the world (US (California, Texas, New Jersey), Canada (Ontario), Jordon, Yemen, Australia, Pakistan, Amsterdam, India, Ireland, Mexico and Brazil. The tour provided lunch/dinners provided good socializing opportunity with the whole group. Had a really good time! The hotel room in Rome was little dated - but, otherwise was well appointed, friendly staff and great breakfast. Also, great location - just off Roma Termini and walkable distance to Colosseum (and a stretch walk to Vatican too - last day of the tour, we trekked backed to hotel on foot). Hotel in Florence was modern - but, had horrible sound isolation (you can hear people from neighboring rooms talk and move) - breakfast was Ok compared to other 2 hotels. Hotel in Venice was the best - right off the canal with great view, well appointed/very modern and great breakfast. Felt that the staff could have been little more friendly/inviting though.

We really enjoyed this tour. Our leader Lucy was great - fun, good sense of humour, attentive to everyone’s needs. Our driver. Paolo, in particular was a gentleman with exceptional driving skills. We felt particularly safe and secure with him at the wheel. We also had a super group of people travelling with us. We loved in particular our accommodation at the Rome Garden Hotel. It was a gem in the heart of Rome with fantastic staff. We feel we saw an amazing numbers of towns in Italy in a very short period of time. Thank you. Joan & Bill Rogers

Hotel Uno in Florence was a bit strange of a hotel. The black hallways took a bit to get used to as well as the purple bathroom. I realize it was a modern hotel and some people love it and others don't. I think if the AC worked better I would rate that hotel higher. Sabrina our tour director was great. She was very knowledgeable, organized, fun to be with, and worked hard for us. Paolo our driver was good. I liked all the local tour guides that Sabrina hired for us. I wouldn't change out any one of them. My only issue was the final day in Rome seemed a bit disorganized. It was the day of our colosseum tour. Getting us to the tour and set with a tour guide could have been better. When we were dropped off it seemed like no one knew what they were doing or who we should see to be assigned a group, or what group to be in. I wasn't happy with that disorganization especially since everything before then was smooth. The tour was great and our local guide knowledgeable. Oh, and the wingbuddy staff was very helpful. I wasn't sure of my plans and the staff was able to get us a transfer from the hotel in Rome to the airport close to the last minute. I emailed at the start of the tour when I finalized my plans and the staff was able to get me the transfer. I appreciated the effort the WingBuddy staff put in to get that and it was very helpful for the rest of my trip to Italy.

Our driver Antonio was really amazing. Being a professional driver myself I was very impressed with his driving. The hotels had very small showers especially Rome Garden & Raffaello but their breakfast was amazing compared to Delfino. Last but not the least, Lucy our tour manager was exceptional. Very experienced.

Although the trip was wonderful because of the beautiful Italian Countryside, the hotels were more like three star hotels and the hotel food was closer to three star than four star but the lunches and dinners outside of the hotels were excellent five stars. The tour director, patrizia, and bus, and bus driver were the best part of the trip , five stars Plus , as well as the other Travelers who were wonderful as well. The locations / destinations were wonderful. And the local guides were excellent as well. Thank you! We were just a little upset that we were not told that we would not be staying Within the island of Venice. Otherwise, it was an excellent trip!

We really loved the trip. The hotels were very nice and the meals were good. Patricia was our guide and she was great! Loved the experience.

July 1, 2019

My experience with the tour was overall amazing. I arrived to the airport with my family, 2 hours late due to delays in flights and I was stressed to figure out how I would be able to get transport from the airport to the hotel; to realize our driver had been waiting for us the whole time. Our travel to Italy was beyond stressful, and it was definitely a relief to have someone awaiting our arrival and guiding us our first few hours in a country we have never been to before. We met with Marijam the next morning and we loved her. She was very informative/knowlegable, bright and energetic, as well as easy to talk to. Qualities you definitely would want in a person who would be guiding you for the next 10 days. She kept things interesting, and made sure our needs were being met, at the same time she was able to make our entire group befriend one another, almost as a family. The first hotel we stayed at was amazing, Rome Garden hotel was a great experience. The hotel had wonderful staff that went above and beyond for our needs and accommodations, food was great, and not to far from the busy scenery. We started our stay in Italy at this hotel and ended our stay here at this same hotel and I was not disappointed. I would love to stay again if I were to come to Rome in the future. The second hotel that our family stayed in was great, staff was great and had wide selection for breakfast. The only complaint was that the dinner that the dinner the was provided was horrible. Dinner consisted of gnocchi about a spoonful, very bland and tasteless, followed by four small cubes of turkey in some sauce with a spoonful or two of roasted potatoes, ending with dessert. Thankful for having dinner provided after the travel, but it definitely lacked flavor, portion was way to small, and not a meal I would like to get served again. Hotel del fino in Venice was an okay experience, location was great, close to the train station, easy access to stores and restaurants. Dinner that was provided was amazing, salmon with veggies were delicious. The down side was that one of the elevators were broken, the room was not cool enough, the mini refrigerator was not cool any items, and the breakfast although it came with variety was hard/ tasteless/ and not appealing. I would definitely look into other options if I were to come to Venice again. Our driver Paolo was amazing, he definitely treated us all with respect and brought us to our locations safely and in a timely manner. Our tour guides were overall great. The tour guide that was provided in Florence spoke a little too fast and there were a number of time where I felt lost since she did walk a little to fast through the crowds. The Tour guide that was provided at the Vatican was not so great, given that the pope had the church closed beginning 10am she really rushed us through the church and our experience there. The meeting place was to be in the middle of the church, which was horrible since security brought us straight to the exit and was impossible to meet at the middle of the church due to the natural flow of the other guest and everyone yelling at one another. She should have already estimated the degree of how crowed it was going to be and meet somewhere else, she stayed in the middle of the church for some time but past those mid gates there was no way. There were various times that she said she would bring us to a certain location to see a specific item, to find out she already exited the area and we were already out and ending our tour. Our tour guide was simply doing a job, seemingly uninterested and not looking out for our interest. Sadly to say I did not enjoy my experience at the Vatican. Overall experience was great, and as I look onto a map, I am beyond happy that I was able to visit almost all of Italy. Thank you.

I had an awesome trip and look forward to using Wing Buddy again for my next trip. Any questions I had were answered almost immediately- fantastic customer service. My one comment would be that you add an “activity” level for the coach tours as we were told by our tour guide that we would be walking at least 5k daily and a lot of that was uphill it was a fast-paced tour which was daunting for a few people. Next tour won’t be quite so fast paced.

Day 3: Rome - Assisi - Siena - Florence
Breakfast at your hotel. Departure around 7:30 am from your hotel for a short drive to Assisi where you will explore at leisure this historical town surrounded by walls built in the Middle Ages. Take your time to visit the Basilica of St. Francis, where you will see masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, continuation to Siena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for the Palio, an historical horse race around the shell-shaped town square Piazza del Campo. You will have some free time in Siena to discover the medieval city center and then you will continue to Florence, where you will check in at your hotel before enjoying dinner and a well-earned night of rest. (Breakfast-Dinner)

Day 4: Florence
After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your local guide and start an interesting tour of Florence, dubbed as “The Cradle of the Renaissance" where with the help of Michelangelo, Italian art reached its pinnacle. Based on Etruscan-roman origins, the city flourished in the Middle Ages as a free "commune" and was further refined by the Renaissance. You will be fascinated by its uncountable monuments, churches, and buildings such as Santa Maria del Fiore, more commonly referred to as the Duomo. During your visit, you will be amazed by its magnificent dome built by Filippo Brunelleschi, its campanile tower designed by Giotto and its baptistery with its bronze doors that Michelangelo dubbed the “Gates of Paradise”. In the heart of the city, you will also see the Piazza Della Signoria, the Palazzo Vecchio and the Basilica of Santa Croce.

Following lunch at a typical Tuscan restaurant located at the Piazza Santa Croce, spend the afternoon at leisure strolling the cobblestone streets of Florence (return transfer to the hotel is not included) or opt for an optional trip to Pisa (approximately 45 euros per person payable in cash directly at destination). Pisa is one of the four main historical marine republics of Italy. You will tour the Piazza dei Miracoli with the Duomo, Pisa’s world-famous “Leaning Tower” and the Baptistery. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Florence. (Breakfast-Lunch)

Day 5: Florence - Bologna - Padova - Venice
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure toward Bologna where you will discover the elegant city center with its almost 40km-long porticoes that are one of the defining features of the city's architecture. From the Piazza Malpighi, you will walk to the Piazza del Nettuno and the Piazza Maggiore in the heart of the city, then you will see the Palazzo Re Enzo constructed in the 13th century as an extension to the Palazzo Podestà and finally the Basilica of San Petronio, one of the biggest in the world. Bologna is a real gourmet’s heaven so don’t miss a tasty meal for your lunch at leisure.

In the afternoon, you will continue toward Padova where you will see the Basilica di Sant'Antonio da Padua, one of the most visited churches of the Catholic world. Later in the afternoon, you will arrive in Venice, "The City of love", one of the most romantic cities in the world and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities on Earth! Dinner and overnight at your hotel in Venice. (Breakfast-Dinner)

Day 6: Venice
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a private water-taxi transfer to the Piazza San Marco with ‘’Skip the line’’ tickets to visit the splendid St. Mark's Basilica. The rest of the day is free for you to roam along Venice’s canals and palaces (return transfer to the hotel is not included). Wander the winding streets and explore the most iconic places of the "Floating city": the Palazzo dei Dogi, symbol of Venice's glorious past and the legendary Rialto Bridge, the oldest of four bridges spanning the Grand Canal, bustling with gondolas. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Venice. (Breakfast)

Day 7: Venice - Montepulciano (Tuscany wine region) - Rome
Breakfast at the hotel and departure toward Tuscany, a beautiful region celebrated for its scenic landscapes, its churches and castles, and its world-renowned wines. You will proceed to val di Chiana with a stop in Montepulciano, a medieval town with a rich history. Famous for its "Vino Nobile", available for purchase in local wine houses, Montepulciano also hosts an annual jazz and wine festival every July. The lunch will be included in a typical restaurant. After your lunch, enjoy some free time to relax before heading to Rome. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Rome. (Breakfast-Lunch)

Day 8: Rome
After breakfast at the hotel, around 8:00 am, departure for a morning tour of the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica with "Skip the Line" ticket. Upon arrival, your local guide will lead you into the museums where you will visit one of the most important art collections in the world. You will walk along the beautiful Galleries of Tapestries and Geographical Maps before admiring Raphael’s Rooms and the amazing Sistine Chapel, completed in the 16th century. Then, you will be taken through a privileged door to St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest church in the world and one of the most stunning. The tour will end on St. Peter's Square.

Enjoy the rest of the day to explore the city at your own pace (return transfer to the hotel is not included). You can opt for an "HOP ON HOP OFF – I LOVE ROME" bus ticket (approximately 25 euros per person payable in cash directly at destination) to reach the major sites of the Ancient Rome such as the Colosseum and the Roman Forum and get closer to your hotel. In the evening, relax on the patio of a local restaurant and enjoy an aperitivo before your dinner (not included).
