FROM MACHU PICCHU TO PERUVIAN DESERT

  • Day 1: USA - Lima (Peru)

    Departure flight to Lima. Upon arrival at Lima’s airport, you will be greeted by our local representatives after exiting customs and transferred to your hotel. Lima, the vibrant capital of Peru, is a dynamic metropolis rich in history and currently experiencing exciting cultural and economic transformations.

  • Day 2: Lima

    After breakfast, begin your exploration of Lima’s historic old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with fascinating colonial architecture. Your tour starts at Casa Aliaga, the only 16th-century colonial house still owned by the same family. Next, enjoy a scenic tour of Lima’s colonial downtown, featuring the Main Square with its impressive Spanish Empire architecture and the 16th-century Cathedral of Lima. 

    You will then head to the traditional Pueblo Libre district, where you will visit the Larco Museum, located in a beautifully restored viceregal mansion built on a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid. The museum showcases an extensive collection of pre-Hispanic gold and silver artifacts. You will return to your hotel and will have the afternoon at leisure. We invite you to take this time to relax. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Lima. (Breakfast)

  • Day 3: Lima - Cusco

    After breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport of Lima for your flight to Cusco.

    Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cusco. Enjoy the rest of your day at leisure to discover the magic of Cusco at your own pace. Wander through its historic streets, where Inca foundations meet colonial architecture, and soak in the unique atmosphere of the city. Visit local markets, explore charming boutiques, or relax in a café overlooking the lively Plaza de Armas. Cusco offers a perfect blend of culture, history, and everyday life to enjoy on your own. You also have the option to join a gastronomic tour in Cusco with Rooftop Kitchen ($). Dinner at leisure and overnight in Cusco. (Breakfast)

    Immerse yourself in the vibrant life of San Pedro Market, where colors, aromas, and local culture come alive. Participate in an interactive workshop where you’ll master the art of Peru’s signature pisco sour and prepare two classic dishes, connecting with the country’s culinary heritage.

  • Day 4: Cusco

    Discover the highlights of Cusco on a guided tour through this enchanting former capital of the Inca Empire. Begin at the impressive Santo Domingo Convent, built atop the sacred Coricancha temple. Continue to the city’s main square to visit the grand Cathedral Basilica of the Virgin of the Assumption. Then head into the surrounding hills to explore remarkable Inca sites, including the mighty fortress of Sacsayhuamán, the ceremonial center of Qenqo, the military outpost of Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay, often referred to as the Inca Baths. Return to your hotel at the end of the tour. Overnight in Cusco. (Breakfast). 

  • Day 5: Cusco - Sacred Valley

    After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco to visit the town of Chinchero, where you will enjoy stunning views of the valley. The inhabitants of this area preserve the artisan traditions and the inherited knowledge of the Incas which they display in their clothes and customs. Here, you’ll also find archaeological remains and a beautiful 17th-century church, one of the first Catholic buildings in Peru. 

    Next, you will be transferred to the Living Museum of Yucay, a center dedicated to Andean traditions and cultural interpretations. After enjoying a delicious buffet-style lunch in the Sacred Valley, you will continue your journey to Ollantaytambo, you will experience the unique Andean atmosphere as this town still follows original Inca urban planning and has been inhabited since then. At the end of this activity, transfer to your hotel in Sacred Valley. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Sacred Valley. (Breakfast-Lunch)

  • Day 6: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu - Cusco

    Following breakfast, your Machu Picchu excursion will begin with a scenic 90-minute train journey from Ollantaytambo station to Aguas Calientes. After a quick bus transfer, you will arrive at Machu Picchu, the "lost city of the Incas". This remarkable archaeological site was built in 1450 by the Inca Pachacutec as a holiday residence. A century later, the citadel was abandoned following the Spanish conquest, fleeing destruction as other Inca sites have known. The vegetation then gradually invaded its stone buildings and hid it, thus protecting it for centuries. During your guided tour, you will uncover the fascinating history and origins of this impressive site. After the visit, return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch, and then return to Ollantaytambo by train. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Cusco for a dinner at leisure and your overnight stay.  (Breakfast-Lunch)

    * Please note that due to train restrictions, you will need to pack a light backpack for your full-day tour of Machu Picchu. Your main luggage will be waiting for you at your hotel in Cusco. 

  • Day 7: Cusco - Lima

    Following breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to the airport in Cusco for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be greeted by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Discover the Peruvian capital, with its historic monuments, museums, and coastal views. Evening at leisure and overnight in Lima. (Breakfast)

  • Day 8: Lima - Paracas

    After breakfast, a representative will meet you at your hotel in Lima and escort you to the bus station for your journey south. Depart from Lima for a scenic bus ride along the Pacific coast to Paracas, a charming seaside destination known for its natural beauty and rich marine wildlife. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. You will have the remainder of the day at leisure to relax or enjoy your hotel facilities, with the option to join a dune buggy and sandboarding excursion ($). Dinner at leisure and overnight in Paracas. (Breakfast)

    Discover the Peruvian desert on a thrilling half-day excursion across its impressive sand dunes. Hop aboard all-terrain buggies and feel the rush as you ascend and descend the desert slopes. Expert drivers will guide you to hidden spots, promising an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the desert.

  • Day 9: Paracas

    After breakfast, embark on a captivating half-day excursion to the renowned Ballestas Islands. Begin with a transfer from your hotel to El Chaco pier, where your boat awaits to cruise across the sparkling waters of Paracas Bay. As you glide along the coast, marvel at the marine wildlife such as sea lions, colonies of Humboldt penguins waddling along the shore, and flocks of vibrant seabirds soaring overhead. Keep your eyes peeled for the enigmatic “El Candelabro,” an enormous geoglyph etched into the hillside that continues to intrigue historians and travelers alike. Along the way, enjoy the stunning coastal scenery, with dramatic cliffs and windswept beaches creating a perfect backdrop for photographs. Return to your hotel at the end of the morning. Spend the afternoon at leisure, or choose to visit the Paracas National Reserve ($), famous for its wildlife and landmarks like La Catedral and Red Beach. (Breakfast)

    Set out to explore the diverse landscapes of Paracas National Reserve, home to unique wildlife and rich ecosystems. Visit iconic sites such as La Catedral and Red Beach, and experience the region’s fascinating flora and fauna.

  • Day 10: Paracas - Lima

    Breakfast at your hotel. Before returning to Lima, you can choose to take a flight over the famous Nazca Lines ($) to admire these geoglyphs from the sky. A representative will pick you up from your hotel and accompany you to the Paracas bus station. You will then travel by bus to Lima, enjoying the beautiful landscapes of Paracas one last time. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be welcomed at your hotel for your final evening, a perfect time to relax and reflect on the wonderful memories of your trip to Peru. (Breakfast)

    Nazca Lines ($):

    Transfer to Pisco airfield for a flight over the Nazca Desert to see the famous Nazca Lines. Admire the Condor, the Monkey, and the Spider, which were created over a thousand years ago.

  • Day 11: Lima - USA

    Enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel. Greeting in the lobby of your hotel by our local representatives and transfer to the airport for your flight home. (Breakfast)
